Mediterranean Cruise Arrivals — dataset
We have published the cruise arrivals data behind our Mediterranean coverage as a dataset anyone can download. It is 4,163 scheduled cruise calls at Dubrovnik, Santorini and Mykonos between 2024 and 2027, one row per call, taken directly from the port authorities that publish the schedules.
Where a passenger figure exists it is included, with a label saying exactly what kind of figure it is. Where none exists the cell is empty. Nothing is estimated, interpolated, or filled in.

How it reconciles against the port authority
Dubrovnik Port Authority publishes its own annual totals for calls and passengers. This dataset was checked against them:
- 2024: 593,583 passengers over 520 calls
- 2025: 577,794 passengers over 412 calls
- 2026: 661,094 passengers over 461 calls
Those annual call counts sum to 1,393 — exactly the number of Dubrovnik calls in the dataset. The published monthly and annual totals ship with the download, so the check is reproducible from the files themselves.
Santorini and Mykonos publish no equivalent totals, so no comparable claim is made for them.

What capacity_basis means
The passenger figure on a row is not always the same quantity: double is the ship's lower-berth capacity, max is its all-berths capacity, and collector_original is Santorini's own expected-passenger figure for that specific sailing. The capacity_basis column says which one you are looking at on every row, so that you do not sum a capacity and an estimate together and call the result passengers.
Known gaps
- Mykonos publishes a single season file, so there is no Mykonos history outside that window. Months outside it are absent data, not quiet months.
- Some ships — mostly small yachts and expedition vessels — have no published capacity at all. They appear with empty capacity columns so the gap is visible rather than hidden.
- Santorini's passenger figures are per-call estimates; Dubrovnik's and Mykonos's are ship capacities. They are not directly comparable.
- A capacity describes the ship, not the sailing. A ship rarely sails full.
- It is a dated one-off extract of published schedules. Schedules change, and a call listed may not have taken place.
